Your Silence
Your silence speaks volumes.
You sew discontent and discord.
with your insincere smile.
Your attention is elsewhere
but I refuse to beg for it.
Perhaps you’ll see my value
if I’m courted by another.
Perhaps when I am gone
You’ll see the hole I’ve left behind.
Or perhaps your silence
is simply you
already telling me
goodbye.

Your turn
Have you been getting the cold shoulder lately?
Lovely poem.
