ruins

These ruins sit unused,
generations pass them by.
A few perceptive people
take photos and draw sketches,
make comments
about how it grand it would have been
to see them in their glory days.
Archeologists and archivists,
lament lost history.
Until one day,
one person walks up,
takes stock of what is,
and searches the grounds.
Amid the mosses and turned soil,
pieces of ruins are discovered.
Crafts people are brought in,
walls gently rebuilt,
until the once majestic structure
stands strong again.
